Las Vegas Property Developer Gives Away 2,000 Free Flights to the City as Part of Promotion

LAS VEGAS Downtown Las Vegas CEO and property developer Derek Stevens launched the “Keep America Flying” promotion, whereby the casino owner offered 2,000 free one-way flights to Las Vegas from dozens of cities across the country.

Announced last week, the first round of 1,000 flights was scooped up in less than two hours. Due to the demand, Stevens offered an additional 1,000 free flights, which were booked within mere hours of the announcement.

Stevens hopes the act of goodwill will help stimulate Las Vegas tourism and reignite the airline industry. He will reopen his downtown Las Vegas casinos, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino on June 4. Though guests are encouraged to stay at Stevens’ properties, they will not be required to do so as part of the promotion.
