Florida Hard Rock’s $1.5B expansion opens

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood (Fla.) officially opened its new 450-foot Guitar Hotel last week. The new 638-room tower is part of a $1.5 billion expansion that expanded and updated the property’s casino and added a wave of new features, including a new pool and lagoon area with overwater bungalow suites.

The 1,271-room Seminole Hard Hotel now features a 42,000-square-foot spa, a 13.5-acre lagoon area, 19 dining outlets, 20 bars and lounges, 195,000 square feet of gaming space, more than 150,000 square feet of meeting space, a 7,000-person performance venue, a 26,000-square-foot retail promenade and a nightclub and dayclub complex.

The updated property is located 10 minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and half an hour from downtown Miami and Miami International Airport. The Seminole Tribe of Florida and Seminole Gaming own and operate the hotel.
