Tunis, Tunisia, to get first Radisson

Radisson Hotel Group has signed a deal to open the first Radisson in Tunisia’s capital city and the group’s fourth hotel in the country, bringing its African portfolio to almost 100 hotels open and under development.

“We see a great opportunity in Tunis, as there is currently a limited supply of high-quality accommodations in the city,” said Elie Younes, EVP/chief development officer, Radisson Hotel Group. “Tourism remains one of the most important sectors in the country…accounting for nearly 10 percent of total investment, according to WTTC.”

The new-build hotel will have 117 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and a rooftop lounge. The meetings and events facilities will consist of five meeting rooms and a conference space covering 358 square meters. The hotel also will have a fitness room, a spa and a pool.

The hotel will be next to the mixed-use Tunis Sport City project that is currently under development.
