Accor’s Greet to say hello to Germany

Cycas Hospitality has secured a management agreement with a subsidiary of property-development company Warimpex Finanz und Beteiligungs AG to open its second hotel in Germany’s Frankfurt Rhine-Main metropolitan region, signing a contract to open and rebrand a 327-room hotel in Darmstadt.

The Hotel Darmstadt will undergo a year-long renovation before it’s rebranded under Accor’s new Greet brand in autumn 2020. The brand launched this month, and the Darmstadt property is the first Greet hotel planned for Germany.

The hotel will have a 1,000-square-meter lobby with a bar and a 300-seat restaurant. The property also will have co-working spaces, more than 2,000 square meters of event space (including 26 meeting rooms), a lecture hall for up to 170 persons and private gardens.

“We believe that the building’s distinctive concept and the independent nature of the Greet eco-lifestyle brand will make our new hotel particularly well-suited to the city’s innovative spirit and the requirements of modern meeting spaces,” said Christoph Salzer, SVP at Warimpex.
