Experience Kissimmee and partners held a “home-away-from-home” trade event last night in Toronto showcasing all the Florida “Vacation Home Capital of the World” has to offer.
Kissimmee is home to more than 22,000 rentals, ranging from two-bedroom condos to 15-bedroom mansions, offering visitors all of the area’s attractions and the comforts of home. Home rentals are ideal for multi-generational family or friends and family travel.
Juliana Leveroni of Experience Kissimmee spoke with PressToday and said visitor numbers are up and that Canada remains the destination’s top international market.
She noted that Kissimmee offers an authentic Florida experience.
“We’re really the best of both worlds, all the attractions of Orlando [such as Disney, Universal and SeaWorld], as well as nature and eco-tourism,” said Leveroni.
Activities in the region include air boat rides (Kissimmee is located near the headwaters of the Everglades), kayaking, hiking, balloon rides and tree-top trek walks. The area is also renowned for its world-class golf and birding.
For those interested in a two-centre holiday, Kissimmee is located close to both coasts (less than a two-hour drive).
And getting there is easy with Air Canada Rouge, WestJet, Swoop (Hamilton) and Air Transat offering direct service from Toronto to Orlando.
“It’s all about experiences,” said Leveroni, “and we have a huge menu of options to choose from.”
Experience Kissimmee is represented in Canada by VoX International.
Earlier in the day, Experience Kissimmee hosted its Canadian suppliers for lunch and updated them on all of the new tourism developments the destination has to offer.
