Aimbridge Hospitality expands Caribbean footprint

Dallas-based hotel management company Aimbridge Hospitality has added six Caribbean resorts to its portfolio.

The resorts include the Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino, set to reopen later this year following a renovation; the Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Hotel & Residence, currently under construction with opening scheduled for fall 2021; the Margaritaville Beach Resort at The Pointe in Nassau, Bahamas, set to open in June 2020; the Hyatt Regency Coco Beach in Puerto Rico, which reopened this month; the Marriott Frenchman’s Reef in St. Thomas, set to open in spring 2020; the Autograph Collection Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort, adjacent to the Marriott Frenchman’s Reef in St. Thomas and due to open around the same time; and the Aimbridge-managed Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Resort & Spa, which is undergoing renovations and is set to open in the spring.

“The acquisition of these resorts is a great expansion for our Caribbean portfolio,” said Aimbridge Hospitality chairman/CEO Dave Johnson.“The devastation from the 2017 hurricanes has produced a tremendous opportunity as newly renovated and revamped assets look to relaunch and reposition back into the marketplace.”
